Product Introduction

The HF-TC-601 Transformer Turns Ratio Tester is an innovative testing instrument that remedies the drawbacks of traditional ratio bridge testers. It is equipped with a large-size high-resolution LCD display with abundant displayed data, delivering great convenience for field operation.

It is mainly used for transformer turns ratio and vector group testing, as well as ratio and polarity tests on potential transformers (PT) and current transformers (CT), featuring rapid testing speed and outstanding measurement accuracy.

Features & Core Functions

  1. Adopts full three-phase sine wave inverter power supply with automatic output voltage regulation, as well as soft start and soft stop functions to ensure fast testing and high precision.
  2. Supports blind measurement, which enables turns ratio and vector group detection without prior knowledge of the high-low voltage winding connection mode.
  3. On the basis of testing standard transformers and Z-type transformers as well as PT samples, it adds CT turns ratio and polarity testing capability for wider application scenarios.
  4. Boasts a wide measuring range and high precision. The maximum measurable turns ratio reaches 10000, with guaranteed accuracy of 0.3% at the full-scale range of 10000.
  5. Built-in comprehensive protection mechanisms including reverse connection protection and output short-circuit protection.
  6. Fitted with a 5.6-inch extra-large industrial high-brightness color LCD screen for clear readout even under direct strong sunlight.
  7. Comes with a thermal printer to support on-site data printout.
  8. Supports local onboard data storage and USB flash disk storage for convenient data archiving.

On-site Test Procedures for Transformer Turns Ratio Tester

On-site Test Procedures for Transformer Turns Ratio Tester

  1. Cut off transformer power supply completely, perform electricity verification and hang earthing wires for safety.
  2. Connect the tester to AC220V power supply, link test clips to HV and LV terminals of the transformer correctly.
  3. Power on the device, select test object: standard transformer, Z-type transformer, PT or CT. Enable blind test if the vector group is unknown.
  4. Start automatic measurement; the instrument will output three-phase test signal and calculate turns ratio, vector group and polarity automatically.
  5. Save test data to local storage or USB flash drive, and print reports via the thermal printer if needed.
  6. Power off the tester, disconnect all wires and remove grounding wires after the whole test.
