Send your requirements, we will quote for you within 12 hours
Also named HF-TC-607 High Voltage Disconnector Contact Finger Pressure Tester, the tulip contact pressure tester for high voltage switchgear is designed to measure contact finger pressure and clamping force on various high-voltage switches, including folding-arm disconnectors, scissor-type disconnectors and tulip-contact high-voltage switches. It fits 10kV to 500kV domestic disconnectors as well as imported GW4, GW5, GW6, GW7, GW10, GW16, GW17, GW22, GW23 series and other models.
Developed and manufactured by Zhuoya Electric in compliance with relevant industry standards, the YGK series tester delivers instant pressure readings once the simulated contact sensor is inserted between each pair of contact fingers. By replacing sensor heads of different shapes, it can test contact finger pressure on various circuit breakers and switches.
Measurable Objects
It is applicable for measuring and inspecting contact clamping force of high & low voltage disconnectors, tulip contacts, SF6 load break switches, high voltage solid insulated switchgear, and main circuit connectors of low voltage drawer-type switch cabinets.
Reasons for Testing Contact Finger Pressure & Clamping Force
Contact pressure is a key indicator determining the conductive performance of the main circuit. It directly decides whether isolating contacts can withstand surge currents and maintain qualified temperature rise under full-load operation.
Contact pressure varies due to spring materials, manufacturing craftsmanship, assembly precision, service environment, load conditions and operating frequency. Regular pressure testing is essential to sustain stable and reliable contact performance long-term.
Application Scenarios
- Widely adopted by contact component manufacturers, high/low voltage switchgear factories, and on-site operation departments. It measures clamping force between moving and fixed contacts of tulip-contact switches, folding-arm disconnectors, scissor disconnectors, U-shaped rotary disconnectors and indoor clapper-type disconnectors.
- Ideal for power utilities, chemical plants and maintenance workshops during switch installation and overhaul. Technicians can conveniently calibrate and verify contact pressure on site.
Reference Contact Finger Pressure Values
Note: Standard load switches normally have a pressure around 200N; values vary among manufacturers for reference only.
- Tulip contact switches: Consult our technical engineers for recommended pressure data
- Rotary contact switches (GW4, GW5, GW7 etc.): ≥130N per pair of contact fingers
- Clamp-type contacts (GW6, GW16/17, GW22/23 etc.): ≥300N per pair of contact fingers
- Clapper-type indoor contacts (GN2 series etc.): ≥200N per pair of contact fingers
