FAQ for Water Soluble Acidity Tester

Q1: What is the Water Soluble Acidity Tester used for?

A: It measures the pH value of water-soluble acid extracted from transformer oil, turbine oil and fire-resistant oil, to judge oil aging degree and corrosion risks to oil-filled power equipment.

Q2: What is the measuring range of this instrument?

A: Measuring range: pH 3.6 ~ 7.0, minimum display unit is 0.1, measurement error ≤±0.1 pH.

Q3: How many samples can be tested in one single measurement?

A: It can test 1 to 3 samples at one time, greatly improving testing efficiency.

Q4: Does the tester support data communication with computers?

A: Yes. Equipped with USB interface, it can connect with PC for data transmission and analysis.

Q5: What automatic functions does the instrument have?

A: It automatically completes heating, constant temperature control, oscillation, sampling, testing, cleaning and printing according to preset parameters.

Q6: What are the operating environmental requirements?

A: Ambient temperature: 5℃ ~ 45℃; relative humidity ≤85%. Power supply: AC (220±10%) V, 50Hz±1Hz.

Q7: Which standard does the test comply with?

A: It follows GB/T 7598, the standard for determination of water-soluble acid in transformer oil and turbine oil.

Q8: Can it print test results?

A: Yes. The built-in printing function can directly output test reports after measurement.

Q9: What will happen if the test result shows low pH value?

A: Low pH means more acidic substances in oil. It may corrode metal windings and accelerate aging of insulating paper, threatening safe operation of transformers.

Q10: What maintenance should be done after testing?

A: Clean test vessels thoroughly, avoid residual oil and reagent contamination; keep the instrument dry and ventilated.
