FAQ for Transformer No Load and Load Loss Tester

Q1: What test items can this instrument complete?

A1: It measures transformer no-load current, no-load loss, load loss, short-circuit voltage, zero-sequence impedance, three-phase voltage and current, power factor, harmonic components and waveform distortion.

Q2: Which industry standard does the tester comply with?

A2: It is designed according to DL/T 1256-2013, suitable for factory inspection and on-site acceptance test of power transformers.

Q3: Does it support automatic range switching?

A3: Yes. The current channel is 0~60A with automatic range switching. The voltage channel supports wide-range measurement up to 750V, no manual gear shifting needed.

Q4: Can it realize correction for transformer loss testing?

A4: It supports automatic waveform distortion correction, temperature correction, voltage correction and current correction, very suitable for users without large-capacity test power supply.

Q5: What is the accuracy under low power factor conditions?

A5: Power accuracy: ±0.5% when CosΦ>0.1; ±1.0% within 0.02<CosΦ<0.1. It performs well for low power factor no-load tests.

Q6: Does the tester support harmonic measurement?

A6: Yes. It can analyze the 2nd ~ 42nd harmonic content and total harmonic distortion rate, and display real-time voltage and current waveforms.

Q7: Can test data be saved and printed?

A7: All test records can be stored. Equipped with a micro printer, users can print test results on site at any time. The built-in clock saves time stamps together with data.

Q8: What are the working environment requirements?

A8: Operating temperature range: -10℃ ~ +40℃. Avoid strong electromagnetic interference, humid and dusty environment.

Q9: What is the insulation safety specification of the instrument?

A9: The insulation resistance between input terminals and casing ≥100MΩ. The power port can withstand AC 2kV withstand voltage test for 1 minute.

Q10: What method is adopted for power measurement?

A10: It uses the two-wattmeter method to calculate total active power, collecting power data of phase A and phase C, which meets standard three-phase transformer test requirements.

Q11: Is the device portable for field testing?

A11: Yes. Net weight only 3kg with compact dimensions 38cm×28cm×15cm, convenient to carry to substation sites.

Q12: Do I need to worry about damage caused by wrong voltage range?

A12: No. The voltage circuit adopts wide-range design without range selection. Misoperation caused by wrong gear selection can be avoided.
