During the operation and maintenance of three-phase thermal relays in power systems, full inspections shall be conducted annually after the motor protection devices are put into service, and periodic routine tests are also required in accordance with the provisions of the national electric power industry regulations governing inspections for motor protection and feeder protection automatic safety devices. The calibration of motor protectors is a long-term and arduous task.
To enable efficient and convenient testing of motor protectors, our company has developed the HDJB-500S Three-Phase Thermal Relay Calibrator through extensive experimental research tailored to the performance characteristics of motor protectors. This instrument is primarily used for calibrating motor protectors, current-type motor protectors and thermocouples. Verified by numerous tests, it can not only conduct tests on all current-type motor protectors, but also perform effective inspection and calibration for all overcurrent automatic protection devices.
Adopting advanced single-chip microcomputer control technology, the device features simple and intuitive operation, stable and reliable overall testing performance, as well as fast reading response. Equipped with high-precision sensors, it ensures excellent accuracy of test data.

Application Scope

  1. Testing all types of low-voltage motor protectors and thermal relays;
  2. Product quality inspection and factory commissioning for manufacturers of motor protection devices;
  3. R&D, experimental research and teaching activities in universities and scientific research institutions.

Operating Instructions

  1. Before switching on the power supply, turn off the power control switch and adjust the knob of the three-phase voltage regulator to the zero position.
  2. Switch on the power supply; connect terminals A, B, C, N of the power input port to the three-phase four-wire mains power supply, then link the three-phase current output terminals A, B, C to the connection terminals of the tested relay.
  3. After completing all wiring, close the power control switch. Adjust the output current to the required 50A or 500A level, then press the Start button. Regulate the three-phase voltage regulator knob phase by phase to set the target current value. Afterwards, press the Stop button followed by the Start button again to carry out characteristic tests on the tested relay.

Operation Steps for Three Phase Thermal Overload Relay Tester

  1. Cut off power, turn the three-phase voltage regulator knob to zero position before wiring.
  2. Connect three-phase four-wire power supply to input terminals A/B/C/N, link output terminals to tested relay.
  3. Close power switch, set required current value, press Start/Stop button repeatedly to complete characteristic tests.
