HF-LT-301 Ultrasonic Power Line Detector
This Ultrasonic Power Line Detector captures ultrasonic signals generated by arc discharge. It efficiently identifies loose connections, broken strands and insulation faults on overhead power lines during live patrol inspection.
Send your requirements, we will quote for you within 12 hours
HF-LT-301 Long-distance Ultrasonic Power Line Detector is mainly applied to patrol inspection of distribution lines below 35kV to locate discharge faults.
Functions & Features
(1) The horn-shaped concentrator receives signals over a wide area; ultrasonic signals can be captured by sweeping without precise aiming.
(2) Supports vehicle-mounted line patrol. At driving speeds of 30–40 km/h, operators wearing earphones can hold the device and scan distribution lines alongside roads through vehicle windows.
(3) Gun-shaped design, non-contact, visual inspection. It supports audio monitoring, waveform storage and display. Discharge waveforms can be uploaded to the background for live non-contact testing.
(4) GPS positioning can be customized upon customer request.
(5) Signal receiving distance: up to 50 meters.
(6) Moderate-power green laser aiming, clearly visible under sunlight.
(7) Real-time waveform display; valuable waveforms can be saved.
(8) Suitable for patrol inspection of distribution lines below 35kV as well as railway contact lines.
(9) Capable of scanning nearby cable terminals.
(10) Safe and reliable, an ideal tool for condition maintenance.

FAQ for Ultrasonic Power Line Detector
Q1: What voltage level lines is this detector suitable for?
A1: It is mainly designed for distribution power lines below 35kV. It can also be applied to patrol inspection of railway contact lines and nearby cable terminals.
Q2: What is the maximum effective detection distance?
A2: The effective receiving distance can reach up to 50 meters, supporting long-distance non-contact inspection.
Q3: Can it work for vehicle-mounted line patrol?
A3: Yes. Operators can test while driving at 30–40 km/h. Wear earphones and scan overhead lines through vehicle windows.
Q4: Is precise aiming required during detection?
A4: No. The horn-shaped concentrator receives ultrasonic signals over a wide area. You only need to sweep toward target lines instead of accurate aiming.
Q5: Does it support live-line testing without power cut?
A5: Yes. It adopts non-contact detection mode and can inspect energized power lines safely.
Q6: What is the function of the green laser?
A6: The green laser serves as an aiming marker with moderate brightness, which can be easily tracked even under direct sunlight.
Q7: Can the device store test waveforms?
A7: It displays real-time waveforms and supports overwrite storage for up to 255 waveform records. Saved waveforms can be transmitted to background systems.
Q8: Is GPS positioning available?
A8: GPS positioning function can be customized according to customer requirements.
Q9: What is the operating temperature range?
A9: Operating temperature ranges from -20℃ to 55℃, adapting to various outdoor field environments.
Q10: What accessories come as standard?
A10: Main unit, earphone, charger, electronic pulse generator, card reader and USB flash drive are included in standard configuration.
