The HF-CH-217 high-frequency high-voltage generator for cable testing is an innovative upgraded product newly developed by our company based on years of research into cable fault detection technology, ranking top domestically. It complies with the technical specifications for high-voltage test equipment stipulated under Chinese national power industry standards.
Primarily applied to cables rated 35kV and below, it delivers impulse discharge for waveform sampling during high-resistance cable fault testing and fault pinpointing. It can also perform breakdown testing for high-resistance faults and metallic grounding faults on power cables.
Adopting switching power supply principles, this unit stands out for its light weight, high and stable output voltage. The entire instrument weighs only 11.2 kg, drastically improving mobility for field operations and eliminating bulky traditional equipment. It serves as an advanced high-voltage power source for cable fault testing and precise fault location, replacing the 65kg conventional test transformer and operating console. It also resolves tedious on-site wiring issues during cable tests. Its capability to output 35kV high voltage at high frequencies fills a domestic technical gap in cable fault detection.
Testing Functions
It is used for impulse discharge waveform sampling and fault pinpointing of high-resistance faults on cables up to 35kV. It also carries out breakdown tests on high-resistance cable faults; its powerful breakdown capacity can puncture fault points rapidly and reduce the grounding resistance at breakdown locations.
