With the widespread application of power electronic equipment, non-linear loads keep growing, which leads to continuously rising harmonic content in power grids. Harmonic pollution poses hidden dangers to the safe, stable and economical operation of power systems and severely impacts the surrounding electrical environment: it consumes the reactive power reserve of the grid, raises transmission line losses, causes extra heat loss and shortened service life of motors, brings errors to electric energy metering, and triggers maloperation or refusal of sensitive automatic control & protection devices, reducing overall system reliability.
Our newly developed power quality online monitoring device can monitor and analyze fundamental waves as well as the 2nd to 25th harmonics of voltage and current on busbars and power lines in real time. It uploads collected data to the background monitoring system via RS485 or RS232 communication ports to meet all power quality monitoring demands.
This device is applicable to power supply systems of power plants, substations, petroleum, coal, steel, metallurgy, chemical plants and other large industrial enterprises with voltage levels ranging from 380V up to 220kV.
