Product Introduction
The broadband impedance spectrum (BIS) was developed to address the drawbacks of the conventional time domain reflectometry (TDR) method when locating faint localized defects in cables.
This rechargeable portable instrument serves as a non-destructive testing system. Combined with our self-developed BIS testing software and hardware, the system boasts high identification sensitivity and positioning accuracy for cable local defects and intermediate joints, with a positioning error less than 0.5%.
Adopting the frequency-domain measurement principle, the incident signal is reflected at impedance discontinuities. The reflected waves are analyzed at the transmitting end, and the positions of cable impedance discontinuities are calculated based on the signal propagation speed within the cable.
