The HF-PQ-204 online harmonic monitoring device is our latest generation product. It conducts real-time monitoring and analysis of fundamental components as well as the 2nd to 30th voltage and current harmonics on grid busbars and lines. It issues alarms once harmonic values exceed thresholds, and transmits data to the background monitoring system through RS485 or RS232 interfaces to fulfill power quality monitoring needs.
It is widely applied to power supply systems ranging from 380V to 220kV, covering power plants, substations, and large industrial & mining enterprises including petroleum, coal, steel, metallurgy and chemical industries.

Functional Features

  • Equipped with premium industrial-grade processor, delivering fast calculation speed, stable operation and excellent anti-interference performance.
  • Built-in automatic frequency locking technology ensures accurate analysis results even under grid frequency fluctuations.
  • Adopting Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm, it offers rapid and precise calculation. It routinely monitors fundamental waves, 2~30th harmonic voltage, harmonic current and total harmonic distortion rate (THD) of power circuits.
  • Friendly man-machine interface with Chinese display, easy and intuitive operation.
  • Able to store up to 60 over-limit event records.

FAQ for Online Harmonic Monitoring Device

Q1: What harmonics can this device detect?

A1: It monitors the fundamental wave and the 2nd to 30th harmonic components of voltage and current on grid busbars and lines, and calculates total harmonic distortion (THD) synchronously.

Q2: How does the device respond when harmonic values exceed the set threshold?

A2: It will trigger an audible and visual alarm automatically. Meanwhile, the system saves the over-limit records, and up to 60 historical alarm logs can be stored for later checking.

Q3: Which communication modes and protocols are supported for data uploading?

A3: RS232 and RS485 interfaces are optional. Serial port 1 uses the proprietary internal protocol, while serial port 2 supports IEC 60870-5-103 and Modbus protocols to upload data to the background monitoring host.

Q4: What voltage grade power systems is the equipment suitable for?

A4: It adapts to power systems from 380V up to 220kV, widely used in power plants, substations, petroleum, coal, steel, metallurgy and chemical industrial enterprises.

Q5: Can the device work stably under fluctuating grid frequency?

A5: Yes. Equipped with automatic frequency locking technology, it maintains accurate harmonic analysis results even if the power grid frequency changes constantly.

Q6: What are the power supply and power consumption requirements of the monitor?

A6: Rated power supply is AC/DC 220V with total power consumption no more than 20W. Custom power supply specifications are acceptable if notified in advance before ordering.

Q7: What indoor environmental conditions are required for installation?

A7: Working temperature ranges from -10℃ to +50℃; humidity below 90% without condensation; applicable altitude less than 2000m, away from corrosive gas and conductive dust.
