What is in this section

• Generator testing — the HF-ET-802 generator rotor impedance tester covers AC impedance from 0 to 999.9 Ω, AC voltage from 0 to 600 V and AC current from 0 to 120 A at accuracy class 0.5, active power from 0 to 72 kW at class 1.0 and frequency from 45 to 75 Hz at class 0.2, operating from AC 220 V ±10 % at 50 Hz. The HF-ET-803 water-cooled generator insulation tester covers the insulation side of the same machines.
• Line parameter measurement — the HF-ET-807 transmission line parameter analyzer and the HF-ET-808 line parameter tester measure the sequence impedances and line constants that protection settings depend on.
• Vibration, balancing and protection — the HF-ET-804 portable dynamic balancer and the HF-ET-805 digital vibration meter for rotating plant, the HF-ET-801 vector network analyzer, and the HF-ET-806 discharge protective spark gap.

How to choose an instrument in this group

These are the instruments you buy when a specific machine or a specific measurement has no home elsewhere in the catalogue: a rotor with an impedance question, a line whose constants must be recorded, or a rotating machine that vibrates. Confirm the rating of the machine under test, the accuracy class the report has to carry and the supply available at site.
