Working principle: When the concentration of sulfur hexafluoride in the air changes, the ionization degree of the mixed gas under high-frequency electromagnetic field varies accordingly. The SF6 concentration can be reflected by detecting ionization degree.
The instrument is equipped with a miniature vacuum pump, and the probe is separated from the main unit. It features compact size, light weight, easy portability, high sensitivity, good stability and fast response. The probe will not be poisoned and no toxic gas will be generated. An LCD screen displays gas concentration for convenient and accurate readings.
This detector adds an alarm setting function. It will trigger an audible alarm automatically when the measured gas concentration reaches or exceeds the preset value.
It is specially designed for power industry, railway, electrical manufacturing, chemical industry, fire equipment, atomic physics research and other sectors to inspect SF6-filled equipment and containers. It enables rapid and accurate qualitative and quantitative leak detection.

FAQ — SF6 Gas Quantitative Leak Detector

Q1: What is the working principle of this SF6 quantitative leak detector?

A: Under high-frequency electromagnetic field, different SF6 concentration leads to different gas ionization levels. The instrument detects ionization degree to calculate SF6 concentration in the air.

Q2: Where is this detector widely used?

A: Suitable for power grid, railway, electrical manufacturing, chemical industry and scientific research. It performs qualitative and quantitative leak inspection for SF6-filled switchgear, GIS and pressure vessels.

Q3: What is the measuring range for SF6?

A: Measuring range: 0.01ppm ~ 500ppm (volume ratio).

Q4: How fast is the response speed?

A: Response time ≤ 3 seconds, realizing rapid on-site leak searching.

Q5: Can I set the alarm concentration freely?

A: Yes. The alarm threshold can be adjusted within 0.01ppm ~ 500ppm. Audible and visual alarm will activate once concentration reaches the set value.

Q6: What is the structure form of the instrument?

A: Split design; the probe is separated from the main unit for flexible operation.

Q7: What are the parameters of the built-in vacuum pump?

A: Pumping speed: 1 L/s, matched with 4-meter sampling pipeline.

Q8: Will the probe be poisoned during long-term testing?

A: The probe supports anti-poisoning performance, and no toxic gas will be generated in the detection process.

Q9: How long can the instrument work continuously?

A: Continuous working time ≤ 4 hours.

Q10: What are the power supply and working environment requirements?

A: Powered by AC 220V 50Hz. Ambient temperature: 7℃~40℃, relative humidity ≤85%.
