This “Dielectric Loss Factor Standard Device” (short for standard loss reference) is developed for calibration purposes. It can undergo routine testing or be sent to metrology institutes for calibration, with latest measured values recorded for future reference.
When doubts arise over test results, the standard device can be tested as a sample. Comparing the new result with historical records helps determine whether data deviation originates from the bridge or other factors.
Thanks to excellent long-term stability and high absolute accuracy, this reference component is convenient for both laboratory and field operations.
Compliance Standards: JJ563-2004, JJG1126-2016

FAQ for Dielectric Loss Factor Standard Device

Q1: What is the main purpose of this standard device?

A1: It acts as a reference standard to calibrate dielectric loss testers and measuring bridges. It helps judge whether measurement deviation comes from test equipment or external factors by comparison with historical test data.

Q2: Which standards does the device comply with?

A1: It meets JJ563-2004 and JJG1126-2016, applicable for metrological verification work.

Q3: What are the rated working parameters?

A1: Rated voltage: 10kV; rated frequency: 50Hz; nominal capacitance: 100pF. The applicable ambient temperature is 20℃±5℃ with relative humidity below 85%.

Q4: How many dielectric loss gears are available?

A1: Standard configuration includes 10 tanδ gears. Customized loss gears can be provided according to customer requirements.

Q5: What is the stability of capacitance and dielectric loss factor?

A1: Capacitance stability: ±0.10%; dielectric loss factor stability: ±0.2% ±1×10⁻⁴. It features low inherent loss less than 2×10⁻⁵.

Q6: Can it be matched with QS37 double-shield measuring bridge?

A1: Yes. It adopts single-shield structure. Please keep the housing ungrounded when cooperating with QS37 or other double-shield bridges.

Q7: Is forward and reverse connection testing supported?

A1: Yes. The matched Cx test cable uses pin 1 as the signal terminal, supporting forward and reverse connection tests.

Q8: Can the device be used for both laboratory and field calibration?

A1: Yes. With high stability and absolute accuracy, it works reliably in laboratory calibration as well as on-site field inspection.

Q9: Does the device need regular calibration?

A1: Yes. Users can perform routine self-testing or send it to official metrology institutions for periodic calibration, and record the latest measured values for comparison.

Q10: What should be noticed during transportation and storage?

A1: Avoid violent vibration, heavy impact and damp environment. Store under temperature within -10℃~+50℃ and low humidity to guarantee long-term stability.
